Summer is finally here! I hope you can take some time to rest, recharge, and enjoy the warmer, longer days.
In this month's newsletter, I am excited to share the latest episode ofLeader Talks with Anne-Marie Pham, where I am joined by the Director of Outreach and Product Services at APEGA (Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta), Mohamed El Daly. A CCIP holder and CCDI’s 2020 Diversity and Inclusion Practitioner of the Year, Mohamed and I discuss the social and business imperative for DEI and how these have evolved over the years at APEGA, as well as what we can to do to create more inclusive environments. The episode will be released a little later in the month.
I am also thrilled to announce that I will be a keynote speaker at the Association of Research Libraries’ IDEAL Conference on July 16 in Toronto. This opening plenary will invite participants to reflect on the vital role of the international library and archive ecosystem in fostering diversity, equity, justice, accessibility, and inclusion. Together, we will explore strategies to build community and honor the stories of marginalized communities for future generations.
Let's embrace this summer as a time for renewal and continued commitment to DEI. See you again in August!
Warm regards,
Anne-Marie Pham
