As we step into 2025, it feels more important than ever to shape our efforts on the hard but necessary conversations around diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA). These discussions aren’t always easy, but they are essential to building a more inclusive Canada. Our focus for 2025 is to go beyond quick, reactive responses and foster deeper awareness and learning of the experiences, contributions, barriers, and opportunities that a diverse workforce and talent pool bring to the economy and social fabric of Canada.
The challenges we face are sobering. The rise in online hate, racism, xenophobia, anti-trans rhetoric, and the painfully slow progress in Indigenous truth and reconciliation remind us of the urgent need to strengthen the voice and importance of DEIA in Canada. These are not just statistics or headlines—they represent the lives and stories of people in our communities.
At CCDI, we are committed to meeting these challenges head-on. In 2025, we will facilitate honest conversations, promote deeper understanding, and help reclaim the narrative of DEIA from sensationalism and rhetoric. We’ll continue to elevate the thought leadership of our Employer Partners, CCIP (Canadian Certified Inclusion Professionals) holders, community partners, and youth ambassadors—ensuring that every voice has a seat at the table.
If you share our vision for a more inclusive and equitable society, I invite you to join us. Together, we can make 2025 a year of meaningful progress and lasting change.
Wishing you a holiday season bursting with joy, peace, and laughter, this season can light up our hearts, illuminating the tree called humanity.
With gratitude,
Anne-Marie Pham
