Spring is one of my favourite times of year – a time of renewal and growth, when the temperatures are starting to warm up and new life is bursting forth from the earth. (Now if only Calgary would realize this!) I also find spring to be a good time for personal growth and renewal. With that in mind, I am very excited about CCDI’s spring activities.
Preparations for our spring 2023 Community of Practice events are in full swing, with registrations now open. Our topic of Depolarizing the workplace is timely, and it will be a fantastic opportunity for people to learn more about compassionate and non-violent communication, an essential tool for challenging conversations. Join us this May and June, either virtually or in-person.
The guest for this month’s podcast episode of Leader Talks is Brittany Gataveckas from UN Global Compact Network Canada. She joins me to discuss her work with the 50-30 Challenge, an initiative which challenges Canadian organizations to increase the representation and inclusion of diverse groups in workplaces, and highlights the benefits of giving all Canadians a seat at the table. I’m thrilled that CCDI will be collaborating with the delivery of the content for the Challenge! The podcast episode will air later this month.
I invite you to explore some of our new educational guides related to various commemorative dates for April, including resources related to Sikh Heritage Month and World Autism Awareness Month (guide on neurodiversity). I’m very proud of my team for their work on these invaluable documents.
I hope you all have a fantastic month, and I’ll see you in May!
Thanks,
Anne-Marie Pham
